0 of 1 people found this review helpful The Butter chicken recipe is good but there is not enough pieces of chicken for the price. Also, I went there in the summer to eat and the manager (possibly owner) discouraged my family from eating on the premisis. The air conditioning was off and he was very reluctant to clean up after we had eaten. As he was setting the table for us he was counting the plates, the napkins the glasses, as if this would be a trouble for him to clean up afterwards. If you want REALLY good food try KAARMA - Punjabi Hut is a sorry excuse for Indian food. The Vegetable dishes look STALE and like they have been reheated and served. I saw the cook actually just dumping FROZEN peas on top of the MATTAR PANEER without bothering to heat or cook it - hoping that the heat from the food warmers will cook it. SERVICE - TERRIBLE! For impeccable service try APNA PIZZA or KAARMA - only go to PUNJBAI HUT if you want to willingly pay for POOR service Bottom Line - you are better off not eating than eating food from Punjabi Hut Was this review helpful to you?   (Report this)

2 of 2 people found this review helpful i have been here a couple of times, when they started first. total chaos, they take orders they dont serve it on time, they are mismanaged and no sense of timing..but then again that was when they started out, hope its better now...the only thing that i liked there was their kaali daal and dahi curry....all else very average..GET A SENSE OF SERVICE AND U WILL DO WELL else it looks like a desi run place with no clue of timing! WE ORDERED QUITE A BIT OF FOOD HONESTLY FOOD WAS VERY NICE AND DELICIOUS. MY KIDS WERE SO HAPPY JUST BY THE NAME OF THE RES COZ ITS CALLED PUNJABI HUT AND THEY LOVED THE FOOD AS IF THEY NEVER HAD THIS KIND OF FOOD BEFORE.I WAS SOO GLAD TO VISIT THEM . THeir washrooms were/are so clean , i havent seen an indian res that clean b4 . i wish them all the best .The good part is that the management who i believe is running the premise are quite educated and friendly . 3 of 4 people found this review helpful This is the worst excuse for Indian food that I have tasted around Mississauga. The Veg selection is not made fresh and seems to be sitting around on the counter for hours. The Saag Paneer on display was dry and crusty on the surface - same with the Dal. When I asked the guy at the counter he said that the non-veg stuff is made fresh after the order is placed - the veg stuff is fresh too but not as fresh as the non-veg stuff. I ended up ordering the Chicken Biryani which was nothng more than rice with 3 pieces of chicken placed on top - probably picked from the Chicken curry. I also had the chat papdi which, taste wise, was quite acceptable except that they topped it with the watery raita instead of dahi. Overall the food is pretty bad. This is one restaurant that I would never visit again. Anyway, I doubt it will last very long. Was this review helpful to you?   (Report this)

I haven't try their meal but I'm sure their food will be same as their sweet. The person at couter said they served halal food, and he showed me receipt from halal meat store.
